Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing (HPRP)
United Way of the Cape Fear Area was awarded $1.2 million in HPRP funds to be used over the next three years to assist rental households in crisis.
Types of HPRP assistance available:

temporary rental assistance payments
-
temporary utility assistance payments
-
rental unit and utility deposits
-
credit repair
-
moving assistance
-
motel vouchers for up to 30 days when permanent housing has been identified
In order to be eligible (not guaranteed) for HPRP funds, a household must meet the following basic eligibility requirements:

currently renting or looking to rent
-
have no other means of financial support
-
not exceed income requirements
